KVARTET AKORD  is a group of very experienced musicans: violinist Klemen Bračko, accordionist Aleš Praznik, guitarist Matjaž Brežnik and contrabassist Marjan Šeško.

Extraordinary interesting cast of instruments gives the musicians an opportunity for a wide and various choice of musical compositions.

In Quartet Akord´s repertoire one can listen to romances, balads and temperamental dances taken from the musical lore of Prekmurje (Slovenia), Hungary, Romania and Russia. The musicians perform also Argentinian tango, especially pieces of Astor Piazzolla. Special emphasis is placed on yewish (klezmer) music, which also can be heard on their concerts.

Quartet Akord represents itself on numerous concerts and on the most glamorous events and festivals. Quartet performs with the most exquisite musicians, such as: violinist Vasilij Meljnikov and Anja Bukovec, clarinettist Jurij Hladnik, mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupić, soprano Andreja Zakonjšek, cembalist Adam Bicszkey, vocalist Vita Mavrič, Darja Švajger...
